Watershed Preservation: The SLA supports and advances streambank stabilization projects and roadside ditch improvements to reduce erosion and runoff into the lake.
Hemlock Protection Program: The SLA works to protect Eastern Hemlock trees–a “keystone” species that stabilizes shorelines and filters runoff–from the deadly Hemlock Woolly Adelgid by providing treatment to homeowners in the Skaneateles watershed.
